ONDC lets restaurants sell food directly to customers without a middleman. It’s been available since September 2022, but it’s becoming more popular now.
ONDC is becoming more popular and has now received over 10,000 daily orders. People are comparing the prices to Swiggy and Zomato and finding ONDC to be relatively cheaper.
ONDC started in Bengaluru in September 2022 and has since expanded to multiple cities. It is cheaper compared to other platforms like Swiggy and Zomato, with an order costing only ₹147 on ONDC, while it may cost ₹209 on Swiggy and 212 on Zomato.
To use ONDC, you can access it via the UPI platform Paytm. Just search for ‘ONDC’ in the search bar to see a range of options that include groceries, cleaning essentials, and food. To order food, search for ‘ONDC Food’ and select your desired cuisine and restaurant. Like Swiggy or Zomato, the food is delivered to your doorstep. However, as ONDC is relatively new, not all restaurants are selling food through this platform yet.
